Brother Ren...So you are now a member of the press... But really, is art religion? An intermelding of within/without? What skills are necessary? What perceptions? Are we all priests of art? Is there any such thing as talent? Is art proof of anything? Love, Sam
I really dig these Ren! My suggestion is that you compress them even harder to get, not a perfect cube, but close to. Still preserve some of the un-evenness, but less than there is now. An alternative would be to pour some glue or rezin to sort of enclose it in transparent goo, but I think compressing harder is a better idea.
These are good questions. I guess by challenging the sacredness of art and talking about it's possible metaphysical properties, I have drawn a metaphor with religion. I don't have faith in art though (no faith that it is proof of anything). For me, it is also like philosophy, science, or politics.
